Simple Model

Domkirche St. Marien(St. Mary's Cathedral) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Hamburg, Germany. The church was built in Romanesque revival style between 1890 and 1893, it was supposed to be the 'successor' of the old St. Mary's Cathderal which was demolished between 1804 and 1807. The western two-tower façade of the building bears a strong resemblance to that of the Bremen Cathedral. The floor plan and the structures are highly typical to the Romanesque era: The church is a galleried basilica with three naves and a transept; the choir and the altar are situated at the east end of the nave. The thick brick walls are left unplastered on the façade, in the inside they are painted white, making both the exterior and the interior modest and simple.
