The Trier Cathedral, is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Trier, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is the oldest church in Germany and the largest religious structure in Trier. The imposing Romanesque westwork, with four towers and an additional apse, has been kept. The imposing westwork of Trier Cathedral consist of five symmetrical sections and is typical of Romanesque architecture.Its four towers are more or less symmetrically placed on both sides of the western apse.

The Pontifical Basilica of Saint Anthony of Padua is a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica in Padua, Veneto, Northern Italy, dedicated to St. Anthony.The basillica with an apsidal chancel, broad transepts and two square nave bays roofed with hemispherical domes.The eastern apse was extended in the Gothic style, receiving a ribbed vault and nine radiating chapels in the French manner.The facade gable shows the very large buttresses that have the same profile and form a richly sculptural feature from the side view.
