Tempietto is a small circular chapel erected in the courtyard of San Pietro in Montorio in Rome. It was commissioned by Ferdinand and Isabella of Spain and was built in 1502 after designs made by Donato Bramante.
The design was inspired by a particular type of classical temple, Bramante added a dome and chose the Doric order for the structure’s decoration. The Tempietto is regarded as one of the finest examples of High Renaissance architecture.
The Basilica di Santo Spirito is a church in Florence, Italy. It is dedicated to the holy spirit, it is located in the Oltrarno quarter, facing the square with the same name. The church was built by Filippo brunelleschi in 1945 and presents a latin cross plan. Inside there are works by the most famous Florentine artists, chief among them the wooden Crucifix by the young Michelangelo.
